How To Get a Toned Chest
Often we hear that the bench press exercise is a good exercise for the chest. This is not the case.
The bench press exercise is good exercise and, if done right, you get a minimal pectoral involvement in the exercise. The problem is that, triceps and front deltoids make the most of the work. This is individual and based on your strengths and weaknesses, but as a rule, your chest will not make the vast majority of work when doing bench press.
Try to work more the breasts during the bench press but the elbows apart and down over the bar at the “higher” on your chest (this is how the bodybuilding magazines teach you how to do in your pictures) is a shoulder injury in sight, so do not consider this option.
Although the pectoral muscle is not the most work when doing bench press, remains a tremendous and excellent exercise in achieving body mass for the upper body. If you have shoulder problems, do not do better than this ejericicio, but otherwise, we recommend this exercise to train the upper body.
As effective, if not more, is the bench press with dumbbells. Dumbbells allow a movement more natural and safe.
These exercises can be performed on a flat bench or an incline bench.Dumbbells also offer you the option of pressing with the palms pointing down at your feet, like when you press with a bar or with your palms facing each other, and to your body. This second variety less pressure on your shoulders, recommended for those with shoulder problems. In the case of having no shoulder problem, we recommend using the two exercises.
