One Third of the Spanish Population Still does not Brush your Teeth After Every

On the occasion of Oral Health Month is celebrated in September, Vitaldent, in collaboration and with the support of the University of Santiago de Compostela, wanted to analyze the oral habits of the Spanish, conducting a survey to over 2,000 people.

The main result is that the Spanish population still suspending in certain habits, and that almost 40% of the population still does not wash his teeth after every meal. Furthermore, no less than a third of respondents (29.5%) percentage of persons using the floss as an adjunct to dental cleaning, and 30% do not go to dental examinations on a regular basis unless untreated.

Of the population that regularly attends consultation, 59% attend once a year, while 37% do so several times in the same period of time, but still 3% did not go to any annual review. Moreover, after 60 years, the Spanish fewer visits to a specialist for regular checkups, because they only do 6 out of 10 people (62.4%).

At the national level are the most visited Navarre dentist, but not on treatment, followed by Aragon and Murcia. By contrast, the Asturian and canaries are the least review your oral health if you do not have any problem.

61.3% of those surveyed said brush after every meal, 30% twice a day, once a day does the 7.5% and 1% almost never does. These figures show that the Spanish people tend to forget to brush their teeth when they are away from home, as they often do this practice in the morning or before bedtime.
