Evening Primrose oil Properties
Also known as primrose, grass of spring donkey or night. It’s a wild seedling, Native American, was taken by Europeans to Europe in the seventeenth century. The ancient Americans of that era and used it as a tea to treat asthma or disorders to heal wounds.
Currently its use is mostly in the form of oil, which is obtained from its tiny seeds, some grains contained in the flower red by the cold pressing technique. Like oil or black currant seed oil, borage, evening primrose oil contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA), a fatty acid that the body converts into a substance similar to a hormone called prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) .
Its therapeutic action is because they are high in omega 6, important for cell survival. Contains sufficient doses of gamma-linolenic acid, oil, other vegetable oils that have not, as they only have linoleic acid. This oil also contains other essential fatty acids for the body.
