Tips In The Fitness Room
A few months ago, I was able to train again at a large chain of fitness centers in town. I will be pleasantly surprised to see that the school leadership has decided to “give” the centers of vibration platforms to use “free” by their customers. By giving I mean that in most centers are restricted by personal trainers, and by free I mean that today is another machine, like any strength or cardio station to which we have more access through payment of our fee. This responds, in my view, to a more direction to counter the same use is given in other facilities.
However, during the course of my stay in the fitness room a couple of things caught my eye: The use was constant. A clear idea came to my head: Advertising makes miracles! (Nothing new on the other hand …). No supervision. No one was supervising the installation use. I guess the coach of the room should be in charge of this task but this did not happen …
From here I do not intend to question the expertise on the use, benefits and impacts that may have customers to make use of these stations. If you think what would prevent risks, improve the results, it would provide added value to the center and improve customer retention and hence the return on investment if the great facilities offered small seminars to its clients use these stations. A simple manual exercise is not enough!
There are many parameters to consider when one trains on a platform of these characteristics (amplitude, speed, time, position …) in addition to the need to adapt to the very purpose. For these reasons and in conclusion:
· If you are technical: you always offer customer support. We will strengthen in a professional manner while you will help the center to retain a customer.
· If you are a customer: do not hesitate for a moment to direct you to the nearest technician. He is a person (theoretically) qualified to help you on use and precautions.
· Seas technical or customer: do not believe everything advertising says! The vibration platform makes no miracle …
