Types of Liposuction
Liposuction types defined by the type of method to use and taking the state of the body part to be treated. We shall now proceed to describe the different methods used for cosmetic liposuction:
Power assisted liposuction
It can sometimes be difficult to move the cannula absorption into the body of the patient to achieve the results at specific points.
In power-assisted liposuction uses a special cannula that produces short vibrations that destroy fat cells in more detail.
This causes the process itself lasts less time, and the patient’s recovery time is faster.
Tumescent liposuction
This is the method that has gained popularity in recent years, given that it has eliminated some of the symptoms after treatment.
The first step involves injecting tumescent lidocaine (used for local anesthesia) and epinephrine (to contract the blood vessels). This achieves the fat cells expand and harden so that the doctor gently remove fat cells and with minimal bleeding.
There are two techniques for tumescent liposuction technique such as wet and super wet.
* In the wet technique injects local anesthesia with epinephrine directly to the tissue which means less blood loss during the procedure.
* The super wet technique epinephrine are injected under local anesthesia and general anesthesia is given which makes the procedure shorter and allows the patient to perform any surgery is desired at the same time.
Ultrasound assisted liposuction
This procedure uses sound waves of high frequency to melt and liquefy localized fat for later removal when this has taken liquid form. When mixed with tumescent injection and emulsifies the fat removal is milder.
This method is used when the treatment area has a higher degree of difficulty such as the neck, chin, knees, calves and cheeks.
Liposuction Vaser Lipo Selection or
During this procedure the fat is removed using ultrasonic energy. After the patient is given a local anesthetic, the treatment area will be injected with saline remojadota to contract the blood vessels and numb the area. It uses a small probe that emits sound energy upon contact with the fat.
This procedure is the least damaged tissues, and provides less bruising and swelling later.
