Ideally, three or more times per week. But if at times this can not be more than one to two times per week, do not despair. Start and you will see that over time it will become more enjoyable and pleasant, without realizing it you will notice that you will be doing three or more times per week.

As for the distance, walking at least 1-3 miles per week as an initial stage. Gradually increase the frequency and distance. Do not overreach. Remember that if your goal is to reduce, you must walk three or more miles per week.

Very important is the plan your routine and your route. Sure to set aside the necessary time. Do not leave it to chance. Make it a habit. This will strengthen your will. Please note that walking must become not an obligation but a delight.

Dress properly and in accordance with climatic changes. It is best to be over-protected that lament the lack of it. Your shoes should be low in weight (less than 11 ounces) and fit comfortably. They should be flexible in its anterior portion but with the sole of the heel firmly and with good arch support and at least 1/4 to 1/2 inches of space between your fingers and the end of the shoe. Buy in the afternoon and be sure to measure with the average you are going to walk. Make sure your footwear is well acolchinado, so that it can help absorb the impact of your foot to the floor.

Walking should be the time to breathe, to meditate and/or improving their communication with God and with their peers. Look at the clouds, feel part of their environment.

Walking is a tonic for your mind and your body. This impart vigor to the strength, will strengthen its energy sources and promote a more vibrant emotional state. You owe it to your mind and your emotions.

Notice that in most of the time the mere fact of walking (ie the movement itself) will help turn its lows (ie emocianales) in cooling and relaxing moments. Actually the walk serves as an outlet for stress.
